LightAngel, overpowered =/= high score and good card. You should not give a card high score just because it is powerful. The way you're rating cards, you'd rate an instant kill card 99999999/5.

And the Immortal King is Immortal, untargetable. It doesn't need to have above 1 HP.

The Immortal King should either have 1 health or 6 health, depending on whether he will fit under Gravity Shield.

What about Wyrm Queen generating 2 elite wyrms in a turn? It would partly make it better. Otherwise I like the idea of making all friendly creatures dive... There's also the dumb but hilarious possibilty of switching it for a huge spark, 30/0 untargetable  ;D It cannot pass shields, but it's quite a wind turn  :P
I was about to make a rather idiotic comment on this part - about momentum on this making it a momentum 31/1 untargetable... then realised it was untargetable.  ::)

Anyway! I think there's a slight imbalance in terms of the costs for each, even if the cards themselves were balanced. Some elements can generate quantums faster than others, making it unfair if each were equal cost. I mean fire for example has immolate and its upgrade (sorry i'm not familiar with the upgrade of that), meaning that with a very lucky draw (3 photons/sparks, 3 immolates, and the hero) this could be played in one turn  :-\ of course, the chances of that are next to none, especially with the 1-hero-per-deck rule going on. But it's still a possibility? My brother's deck in his second day of playing can get two or three crimson dragons out in the second turn for example. If a fire deck was based around getting their hero out it'd be over far too quickly, especially if the hero had a higher attack power as previously suggested. The suggested 20 attack, 5 turns, boom. Unless the opponent got lucky with counters and Towers within that time, enough to secure themselves at a decent HP.

True that fire decks are designed to strike hard and fast - but not this fast.

Other elements don't have such an advantage. Unless you count in accelerated pillar accumulation from hourglasses - still a lesser circumstance.

Scaredgirl, I absolutely love how you effectively captured each element's bread and butter into one hero card. Well done. Although I'm not sure it's entirely PC to slap Obama's face on a hero card and call it the "Chosen One". ;)
Thanks. Yeah, I tried to think what each element was all about and design a Hero card based on that. I haven't done all of them because my initial ideas sucked and/or I didn't find a good picture. You should have seen the "Hawkman" card I had for Air element. That monstrosity went straight to trash can. :)

I actually found that Obama picture by mistake. I did a Google image search "The Chosen One" but didn't find anything good. Then I saw this picture and thought, why not? It's surprisingly close to what I was looking for :)

Okay I gotta say something. These are called CONCEPTS, people. This is how cards are made. Yes, Scaredgirl may or may not be entirely serious as to these card ideas, but guess what? Scaredgirl posted them, and obviously they have made enough of an impact for this topic to be so hot. As for how overpowered these cards are and how they create that ever so lovely "auto-win" scenario?

All of these are creatures that can be targeted. Therefore:
1.) Lobotomize it.
2.) RT it.
3.) Mutate it via the card Mutation or Elf/Druid.
4.) Gravity Pull it.
5.) Freeze it.

Those are 5 solutions to each and every one of those creatures from 6 possible quanta sources, even if they were created as is.
so hard.... hey 6) GRAVITY SHIELD... how about fire/ice bolt?!!!

This thread was stickied on the old forum and I had nothing to do with that. You are right, it's not a "special" idea, and the fact that there was a lot of discussion and posting going on, does not make it sticky worthy.

Yes, that was alot of exaggeration. No, that was not aimed at anyone in particular. No, that was not in any-way related to me reading this stuff after alot a really bad day on the holidays. Sigh.
Leave SG alone, she has IDEAS, not THINGS THAT ARE BEING PUT INTO THE GAME (Yes, there is a difference, just count the letters if you're unsure)

I love the idea and the cards are really original and cool! *Applause*

My only concern  is (dunno if this has already been said, I didnt read all 14 pages) that the entire strategy of any deck of any element would shift to just getting your hero out as soon as possible, and countering your enemy hero.  All the monsters in a deck would just become support cards for bringing out the big gun.

And with that everyone would switch to time and draw and draw away until they get their hero and just go from there.
But this is all speculation :p  Still i look forward to seeing something like this.

I think Taulmaril speculation is correct, and that's why, after hesitating, i don't support the "big card" (name it "hero" or not) idea. Excepting if we could make plenty of them for each element (in such a case, there would not be only "one" card to get and help out with several little, but a choice to make about the "big" cards too), which is kind of becoming not realistic - or bunch of work.

I think the Nymph could be some weaker kind of this hero cards. Each has it's one power is rare and is a good card for some strategies.
