As for Mass CC spreading, I doubt this is an issue as we current only possess 2 AoE spells in ETG, both of which are accessible by more flexible and 'complete' elements ( :entropy and :fire ). Water is one of the weaker elements in the game and I believe it would benefit from having an AoE to kill enemies rather than rely on Freeze spam to a) Outstall the opponent or b) End the game before creatures unfreeze.

Not to be a smarty-pants, but I feel like there's a few more spells we're missing out on here...

Rain of Fire
Pandemonium
Plague
Thunderstorm
UG
Flooding (?)
Both permanents, not spells.

I think I'd be more of a fan of this card idea if it didn't seem like a RoF variant with a few twists.

I think I'd be more of a fan of this card idea if it didn't seem like a RoF variant with a few twists.

Yet I feel the few twists gives this card its own uniqueness. Playing off the powers of other card ideas seems to be pretty beneficial in this regard.

Despite saying this, I partly agree because you can call this a "refined" RoF.

Again though, I appreciate the new way to target creatures: targeting the saved rather than the one to die.

Alright, so considering that Water lacks a lot in the PC department compared to CC and that Freezing is one of it's signature abilities, what do you guys think of this?

It does because it's based off a shmup boss who hits everything except for the player standing in front of her. (In all fairness, though, an elemental who casts this spell is more likely to do this on purpose to protect something she/he doesn't want frozen - e.g. Freeze everything but a yet-to-be-implemented creature/permanent that can cast Shockwave)

I find the version that works on permanents way more unique and interesting, but it raises some questions:

-When i target a cluster of 10 quantum pillars and the enemy also has a sword, does only the sword get frozen?
-If i target the sword instead (assuming the enemy only has that and the pillars), that means he only gets quanta from his mark for the next 2 turns? Isn't that abit too strong considering i can just chain them for 12 turns? (upped version)

I also like the new verison a lot more. It does a ton at once, especially if it freezes pillars but this is an idea I can get behind much more.

The upped seems too powerful. Unupped might also be too powerful. Think Low-pillar discord/BH bow with 2 of these.

I think any of the following might be good:
Freeze all permanents except for target enemy permanent for 1-2 turns.
Freeze all non-pillar permanents except target non-pillar permanent for 2-3 turns.
Freeze all creatures except target creature for 2 turns.
(Time) Delay all creatures except target creature.
