Since Life already has so many cheap cards, I don't know if this is the best idea.

It wouldn't be just life. I would have one for all the elements. This is just sort of a "Test run" to see what the community thinks of a price conversion card.

Oh.. well you might want to raise the cost.
If you were to use this on a Dragon, you could have 10 :life first turn and then just play a ton of Frogs.
A bit OP.

Oh it might be my mistake, is this card's ability to turn a card into quanta?
For example, if you were to use this card on a Giant Frog, you would gain 2 :life?

No. This card would only have an effect if played on cards that aren't  :life, at which point they would now cost  :life.

I still think this is OP though.

No :P here's an example:
>I have an Otyugh and a Growth in my hand.
>I use Growth(2 :life) to change Otyugh from 4 :gravity to 4 :life
>I play Otyugh(4 :life)

So now, instead of 4 :gravity, i ended up paying 6 :life for an Otyugh.

No. This card would only have an effect if played on cards that aren't  :life, at which point they would now cost  :life.

Cost wise?

It would allow you to play cards from another element, with no quanta generation from that element.

The balancing for a lot of cards is based on the fact that in order to combo them with other cards, you would need a source of two or more elements.

Something that would let you bypass that would have to be extremely expensive to be fair.

I was thinking of making this card match the target card's cost. That better?

Slightly.

I still don't think being able to play any card that costs 3 :rainbow  for 6 :life  is a good thing though.
