That's different from what I had in mind.

Since it seems it isn't clear, Sloth basically gives a devourer-like ability to the target creature, except instead of , it is whatever element the target creature is.  For Other creatures, it will drain one quanta of the owner's mark.  So let's say you have a Malignant Cell with Sloth and you have a Life Mark.  The Malignant Cell will drain 1 from the opponent.  If there is no to drain, it is delayed.

I agree that it is significantly different. (the other thread is for balance reference.)
Good choice for how to handle other creatures.

Still a bit confused. I am playing mono time. Opponent is playing mono water. I play this card on a blue crawler. What happens? Do they lose per turn? Or is it stuck indefinitely because I have no ?

If it's the former, I approve of the idea. If it's the latter, I heavily disapprove.

Also, what happens if I play this card on my own silurian dragon? Change your wording to make it less ambiguous.

If you play it on their Crawler, it will try to drain  from you each turn. When it fails (because you are playing time) it will delay the Crawler.
If you play it on your Silurian, it will try to drain  from your opponent each turn. When it fails (because they are playing water) it will delay the Silurian.

1 card + 4 |3 for permanent delay.
1 card + 2 |1 for 6 turn delay.

and if they are playing rainbow or one of your colors, you can play it on one of your creatures to drain quanta of that type from them while still attacking, which while highly situational is a pretty cool.

That's completely different then how I first interpreted it. Now it just makes the card seem very situational and either really powerful or useless.

its not situational at all, its very powerful soft creature control in  a non rainbow deck. though i admit it could be cheaper.

But it's not only soft CC.  It's soft QC.  It's all depending on how you use it.

It is a bit hard to make the weaker soft QC effect.
