In 60 turns, Ruby Dragon does 900 damage for 12 quanta, while Lava Destroyer does 420 for 5. The damage-to-quanta ratios are still the same, but the difference is exaggerated.

The Demon has a better damage-to-quanta ratio than Vampire, but it drains less HP. It's pretty balanced to me.

OFF-TOPIC: Cynxos' statement refers to Illidan. Illidan is a vital character (and Demon Hunter) in the Warcraft universe, which is a VERY popular and well-known world/brand from Blizzard Entertainment.

That said, BS, you should probably cite the art source as from 'Blizzard Entertainment', because I just know that a lot of people would immediately recognize the image and where it comes from. I mean, ever since they invented games like WoW, Starcraft, and Diablo, it's hard for Blizzard to not have these Copyrights laws to own people with that use their work for non-commercial reasons, so just make sure you give them proper credit.  (Well, that or change the art completely to a different demon...  )

That said; this guy looks pretty powerful. Since you can theoretically summon 12 of these, Fractal is probably not a good synergy with this card as there are much better mono-options to get him onto the field as soon as possible. Hope is the only way to counter the card combo from the very beginning, unlike SG's mechanic that relies on Momentum to always get a first attack regardless...

Well, you should know that I have never played Warcraft or WoW in my life. Oh well, time to cite...

Greater Demon: cost 6, 6 damage, 2 HP returned, 0.3 quantum returned.

Vampire: cost 4, 4 damage, 4 HP returned.

Archdemon: cost 6, 7 damage, 2.3 HP returned, 0.3 quantum returned.

If you look at it over three turns, the difference is exaggerated.

Isn't it 5 for the vampire?

Anyway, I guess it is balanced enough as it is more vulnerable to shields like fog shield, dusk mantle, procrastination, gravity shield, permafrost, some forms of CC (eg. rewind, lightning, fire bolt) and looks balanced when compared to eg. Gargoyle.
It also has less synergy with Eclipse (you could play 2 minor vampires for the same cost and gain +4 attack +4 drain life instead of +2 +2)

A 'shrieker rush' kind of deck with these would be slow enough because of 6 cost.
A fractal pest deck with these instead of vampires would simply have different strengths and weaknesses. It might be a better replacement than Gargoyle, but I still don't see it any better than Vampires generally.



As for the Blizzard art, I've played Warcraft a little bit and I know this guy well enough to like him (Elf Demon Hunter -> Cool Demon/Elf Dude)... but I guess you'll have to change the art. I heard Blizzard does not like their art used without permission.
