Balance is not a democratic process. If people voted that Photon's stats should be 100/100 with no cost increase it wouldn't matter, it'd still be imbalanced.
It is true that balance is not democratic. However balance is reason based. Giving detailed reasoned critque of a card idea is just the first step. The next step is to offer reasoned suggestions.
Precisely.  It's very difficult to make a decision when I have few comments made to sway my decision otherwise.  I was leaning towards the cost anyways so it just strengthened my resolve.

And I don't understand what your Photon example has to do with anything; I ask for input from people who actually think before making a decision.  Anyone who votes that a card like Photon receive stats of 100/100 clearly doesn't understand the meaning of card balance, let alone logic at all.

If Elements stuck strictly to the mythos creatures borrow their names from Otyugh would be a huge rock-like creature that beats things with its spikey tentacles.
