This is a very clever idea, but I feel like I have seen it before. Can't find it, and I guess you would know better than anyone about other card ideas. I like it, and it seems balanced.

What comes to mind is actually the idea I submitted for the Epic 3 Card Design competition for the flask idea, as that holds close semblance to this card.

I knew I saw that somewhere! Just one potential balance issue: Can you justify the generation of 3 quanta in one turn from a no-cost creature?

In my opinion, all this really needs now is art.

The upgraded is really 3 [took a -1 from the upgrade].  The sacrificed card is the equivalent to the tower being produced and you pay "3" for the 3 quanta being generated.

Also, the same argument could be posed to Immolation | Cremation, which generates 18 quanta in one turn from a no-cost creature.  In comparison, this is much weaker, but promotes steady quanta production.

If this costed 1   instead of 1 I would definitely use it. (This should still be an  card, because of the pillar theme)

I think this is a good candidate for having a 1 upgrade cost. It has very high utility potential any element and fills a nice niche. Much like sundial and flying weapon.

I further think it is justified since it fills a quanta generation and sacrifice role so it fits almost perfectly alongside nova and immolate as a broadly accesible card.

If either had a cost I two would definitely like to use it.
Its fun with an earth cost, but would be excellent with a cost.

Either way, I really love this card idea.
