The main problem I have is that if you wait less than 6 turns, this card is bad, but if you wait for more than 10 it gives a crapton of quanta. I am still thinking on how to make it more even.
Also, I don't really want the formula to be linear. Because if it is linear, it feels more like a card that converts X
into Y
. If it's linear, you can simply play one, wait 2 turns, explode it and play another, while this card should be something you must invest time to make it work properly. I feel the generation speed should ramp up every turn.
Maybe decreasing the quadratic term and increasing the linear one? I'm not sure.
Also, the reason why I chose gravity was thematic: you put a giant mass attractor which requires
to attract quanta, and then you explode it generating random quanta, just like a nova. But I think water could work too. Maybe a sinkhole which makes quantum slip inside?
Also, andretimpa's idea of simply discharging it instead of discarding the card is great.
