Because it seemed to fit the theme of the card. The vandal's purpose is to create chaos, and when it can't it just lusts more for it and becomes more violent. My second choice for an element would have been fire.

Mechanically it fits Earth best IMO. (steadily building force to force through any barrier. also Earth is another of the Redish elements when it comes to Goblin type of Red.)

Based upon this first Goblin, I have high hopes for the other 5. (I do not think it would be appropriate to suggest too many of any one species. 3 cards of 2 elements is sufficient for a tribal deck in ETG)

Although it is currently balanced, I do not think it makes sufficient use of its ability. I would suggest dropping the Atk, Cost and Hp but 1-2.

Cost: 2
Attack: 1|2
Hp: 2|2

Think about it as everytime the creature would attack/deal damage but is blocked (Sundial,Guard)/missed.

If I use Guard against a Goblin Vandal it will not attack and thus gains +1|+0
If I play Sundial then all my Goblin Vandals and my opponent's Goblin Vandals would gain +1|+0
If My Goblin Vandal attacks and misses against a Hax Shield like Dusk Shield it would gain +1|+0
If I block my opponent's Goblin Vandal with Diamond Shield it will gain +1|+0

I like this card, but I agree with OT, it should be weaker & cheaper. I also agree that Earth/Fire would make more sense (probably Earth the most).

Listening to this advice, I do very much agree about the cost being cheaper.  This would also be good for :entropy, which doesn't really have many cheap creatures to speak of.

And OldTrees, I plan for 6 Goblins. 2 :fire, 2 :darkness, 1 :entropy and the last one is currently unknown.

EDIT: Card has been updated. Cost is now 2 :entropy, Attack is now 1/2, Health is now 2/2, skill has been renamed "Restless"... sounds better lol.

Flame Warrior | Blazing Swordsman (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,12249.0.html)
Inflame: This creature gains +2/+1 at the end of every turn it fails to deal damage. ---second effect ----.
It is a card in the Armory and is an old enough card to use my predecessor's Card Cost Theory.

The question is whether Goblin Vandal/Restless is sufficiently different from Flame Warrior/Inflame.

Eh, it depends on how they define "fails to do do damage". Does that include when the creature doesn't attack at all (Sundial) or only when it misses (Mantle)?
