This is a very interesting concept, I've seen your other 'marked' card ideas but I think this one raises the most questions,
Does the marked damage boost apply to weapons?
If this card marks a pulverizer or trident, can they smash immaterial permanents (because it says marked cards can't be blocked)?
Similarly, can a marked CC spell kill an immortal?
Do damage reducing shields effect marked cards if this is in play?
If the main purpose of this is to be a support card, I think most people would just go with the unupgraded version because that means you can get it out earlier and also you aren't giving your opponent potentially useful marked cards. It isn't there to be a primary attacker so the 3|2 boost probably won't be worth the extra cost imo. Maybe increase the stat boost to allies with the upgraded version?
Also just generally about marked cards,
If you were to fractal a marked creature would all the cards you draw from that be marked as well?
You don't have to rush to come up with answers or anything, just pointing out a few things to consider.
Love the art BTW
The wording "miss", "blocked", and "evaded" refer specifically to the text you see appear over a card when one of these events takes place.
Gravity shield will display "blocked", while most shields like wings and fog shield will display "miss" and SoFr will display "evade". So I was trying to give players a literal clue as to the mechanics it overcomes.
Immaterial cards will still be untargettable, which is slightly different I think. Although I did have one card (
frost lotus) that will affect immaterial creatures. But, it still does so in a manner that is similar to how shields function, so I'm not looking to open that particular can of worms here.
I actually have the wording on the two cards active skill flipped. Will fix it soon.
Essentially, this ability is meant to get around shields that fully avoid damage, and also effects like SoFr (or any like it in the future) that allow evasion.
Damage reducing shields will still function normally.
Similarly, shields like thorns, turtle shield, etc. will still get to apply their effect.
This should help distinguish this effect from momentum, which bypasses everything.
This card's stat buff effect CAN affect weapons, but only if the weapon has been turned into a creature (i.e. by flying / animate weapon, or the
