An other creature that isn't as easy to abuse as it looks - Speedbows that attempt to spam this will find themselves draining themselves quicker than they can pay themselves back. Protection is a no-go either, unless you're using Cloak.

If a players quantum pool is less than 3/2, Glass Knight will simply drain that pool to zero and play itself anyway. Ideally, it's a good thing to play when you're low on quanta or have an excess sitting around. If you're clever, trying to Fractal this and make a "Glass OTK" deck is also a possible, if done right.

Hmmm.......I don't think you need the quanta drain. The instantly die mechanism already balances it out IMO.

Hmmm.......I don't think you need the quanta drain. The instantly die mechanism already balances it out IMO.

This might be true considering this means you cannot buff this creature nor fractal it.

Yes, I've figure about the fractal. However, it instantly dies when targeted. So the only thing that prevents this would be quitessence. So no matter the momentums and blessings given, it will still die with a thunderstorm.

Wouldn't quint and buffs cause it to die, since they would technically be targeting it.
Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?

I'd assume only mass buffs (SoP) would work on it without killing it. Also, i don't think the drain would affect in a mono other with this. And, if it dies automatically when targeted, you might as well give it a little more hp (2|3) to survive shields a bit more.

And, if it dies automatically when targeted, you might as well give it a little more hp (2|3) to survive shields a bit more. I'm not sure about raising HP - the idea of 'balancing' this Other creature is that in exchange for speed, it dies to just about anything relatively quickly to prevent potential abuse.  Bumping the HP up would also kind of detract from the fact it's very fragile.

The new version will be a little too powerful in rainbow decks. All you need is this + fractal in and power w/ quantum and aether pillars and mark. 7 quanta is only high for non-rainbows.

With 2 novas you could field 3 of these in the first round... Three 6|1 creatures on first turn seems a little OP to me. Sure, they break easily but thats still 18 damage on first turn.

Or consider the combo with fractal. It may kill the one it targets, but you still get a bunch back, and powered by quantum pillars, novas, and cremation, you can field them extremely fast.

Without the drain, its just too big of a buff to rainbow rushes.
With the drain, I think it is very cool and unique.

On another note (related tangent), a small drain on casting plus a small activation cost would be a good nerf for SoF and may be a good way to balance other high powered rainbow costs...

I think that the drain on cast mechanic is truly brilliant for balancing and this card makes a great way to show it off.

Perhaps add an effect like "shattering" causes 1 hp damage to any creature in play (unupped) or any creature on the opponents side (upped)?
