Force Gift to target a creature only.  That way you can't gift pillars, nightmare, or a pillar for mindgate to recklessy spam.  The only useful card that would work in this situation for Mindgate is RoL or Spark and would still cost a lot of quanta.
Only the spell Nightmare is a problem. So make it so you can only gift objects (creatures and permanents)

If the gift goes directly to the opponent's hand (or shuffled into the opponent's deck or into the bottom of the deck) instead, there isn't a problem anymore. But then... I don't see the use of the card (I tell just in case anyone see it).

I consider that the best thing (rather than target only creatures) is to put the gift into the field directly. That could start a serie of doomed permanents and creatures and would be another way to control or damage your opponent.

If you just limit it to field it really does solve the problem. Like I said in the other topic someone linked to on the first page, I think it's a good idea. Just the hand to deck part isn't.

True.  Actually, there could be two cards : 1 to send to deck and 1 to send to field, because we already have Nightmare for hand.  The field version of this would make for a sweet aflatoxin/antimatter counter.
