Gift of (element) | Gift of (name) https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=12672.msg159844#msg159844

This is a series piece, whose artmork isn't quite finished yet (clay takes a while to finish with). Each of the base cards would be Gift of entropy, Aether,Water, etc. Any element except Earth, which is the base. An example, for Time, is given below.
Art is still in the worksArt is still in the works
Name:Gift of Time
Element:Earth
Cost::earth
Type:Permanent
ATK|HP: -
Text:At the end of each turn, this Gift generates  :earth :time :time
Name:Gift of Time
Element:Earth
Cost::earth
Type:Permanent
ATK|HP: -
Text:At the end of each turn, this Gift generates  :earth :time :time
Notes:Each upgraded Gift has the passive ability Bound, which prevents theft and duplication, but the card can still be destroyed. Otherwise, this is pretty well told by the abilities. These cards should be Rare. Even though they count as Pillars/Pendulums for destroy targting, there can only be 6 per deck.
EDIT: effect has been edited, cost has been edited, notes have been edited. Also, the 'Can't be duplicated' is because I'm going to use the ability for other cards as well.

Each is the name of a God or Goddess that was actually worshipped in human history... and matches perfectly to each element. Zanz really does his homework, doesn't he?
Those names were not chosen by Zanz, but rather by the guy who wrote the (IMO horrible) Elements fanfiction in the old wiki. I would be very, very sad if THOSE names are used to represent the elements. The worst part is that they're from different cultures (Greek, Japanese, and who knows what), which has no coherence at all.

Elemental deity names, off the top of my head:

 :aether
 :air Ventus
 :darkness Phaeus
 :death Necros
 :earth Terros
 :entropy Khaos
 :fire Pyros
 :gravity Baryos
 :life Vitas
 :light Solaris
 :time Chronos
 :water Hydros
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

Even tho Thor is a god of thunder he's not a god of all space.Thunder is the least aspect of Aether not the whole. So Thor would be a bad choice. Also Raiden would be a bad choice as well. For the same reason.

... I added the God names, and the person who wrote the fanfic picked up on my  ideas  :(
And the reason they came from differing cultures is that each was already named that, and that different civilizations worshipped them. After all, they wouldn't all congregate around one civilization. That'd be a tiny area! I mean, if you lived with 11 siblings, would you want to all live in the samw apartment?! of course not.

Elements + real life gods = terrible idea IMO. When you make your own fantasy setting, you should make up your own gods, or at least gods with names that seem "compatible" with the language spoken in your setting. Why would a Japanese god be worshiped in a card game in English?

And Zanz said he would not give any form of "individual identity" to any of the cards. For example, "God of Time" is OK but "Chronos, the God of Time" is not. A while ago someone made a Greek God series that was shot down because it gave the cards individual names.

:aether is Cosmos, BTW. Can't believe I didn't think of that off the top of my head.

Upping this card gives too big an advantage, no card gets that much better when upped: cost reduced, effect increased AND "Bound"(how do you duplicate perms btw....?)? I would suggest only one of the three benifits, or the latter two and an increase in cost to 3 :earth

Though I doubt any one element would gain so many cards, while the rest is left behind. Would love to have a Gift of Chronos for Shrieker rush though :P

@Theonlyrealbeef: Okay. This is only the preliminary form. and you would only be able to get 6 of them, max. I'll make some changes then.

I like the vast majority of those, although I'm not a fan "Phaeus" or "Baryos".  I'd change Darkness' god to "Null" and gravity's god to "Colossus".  Other than that, those are really cool.

Just because I feel like it, backstory for all of them.
Cosmos - The one beyond the sky.  The aether in the land of elements is limited, but beyond the sky, the stars are limitless.  Cosmos looks down on the other gods.
Ventus - He who is free.  Ventus enjoys flight so much, he ignores the rest of the world and floats where he pleases.  Ventus ignores the other gods.
Null - The Vengeful.  Not considered a god by the others, Null was excluded from the Dieties.  Null blessed the world with a place to hide, wait, and strike.  Null lurks the other gods.
Necros - The Death Bringer.  Necros is a merciful god, helping the dead on their way as though they were his children.  Necros is married to Vitas.
Terros - The still one.  Terros is slow moving, stable, afraid of the destruction of the land.  Terros is cautious of the other gods.
Khaos - The bringer of change.  Khaos is eccentric, chaotic, and insane.  But there is a method to his madness.  Khaos baffles the gods.
Pyros - The Passionate.  Pyros is confident in everything he does, and does it with a fury.  Pyros eggs on the other gods.
Colossus - The keeper of peace.  Baryos is calm, collected, contemplative.  He's slow in what he does be he's never wrong.  Colossus understands the other gods.
Vitas - The Life Giver.  Vitas is a merciful god, granting life and beauty to the living.  Rebirth and healing our her grace.  She is married to Necros.
Solaris - The Illuminator.  Solaris considers himself the leader of the gods.  He graces the world with light, clarity, and law.  Solaris guides the other gods.
Chronos - The one beyond the flow.  The time in the land of elements is cruel, but beyond it's flow, the possibilities are limitless.  Chronos structures the other gods.
Hydros - The Calm.  Hydros is wary of everything he does, and he does it smoothly.  Hydros chills the other gods.

The opposites work well too.
