Sounds like a Wyrm/Pegasus to me. The attack is basically dive. Nice idea on how to implement it into water though. Giant Squid may cause some confusion between itself and Arctic Squid. That may need remedying.

Also, not too impressed at mimicking the Dive mechanic -- but I do like the flavor of it being caused by (i.e. ascending from the depths).   That's class.
