Yeah, sorry guys. Blue Slimes have existed since 1986 when Dragon Quest came out in Japan. (It came out in 1989 as Dragon Warrior)

All subsequent slimes are descendants of these Dragon Warrior prototypes.

Seriously. The original DWM had like 70 more creatures than the original Pokemon games. DWM2 added like over 100 more I think... Generation 2 of Pokemon did too, but they were already 70 behind lol... Plus the battle system was better... You had three monsters in your party at any one time and they all fought simultaneously. There was a lot more strategy involved than in Pokemon. The creatures also took a lot longer to level as they grew. The best part was breeding though.

Sure now Pokemon has like 450+ pokemon now, and is going to be releasing a Generation 5 series at the end of 2010 I think, but for it's time, DWM > Pokemon hands down.

Slime Lord is not available as a standalone card, just like Malignant Cell is not available as standalone. Think about that, and you'll think that it's pretty balanced.

A little Over-Powered, I think, but it would be good for a Mono-Gravity Deck.

The 7/7 doesn't get any bigger than than (unless you buff it), the nom nom nom just allows you to get more lil' slimes. As a Fusion creature I had to make the stats stronger than the 2 that it started out with so I made the base attack 7, for the defense I merely picked the same def as the FFQ which seemed like a fitting amount fitting for the slime lord. Lastly, it takes a fair amount of quanta of different types and a couple of turns to bring this puppy out, the smaller slimes are naturally going to be targeted first(think unstable gas). kudos to those of you that actually took the time to read through this block of text ^^.

But, I would hate to have an Elite Otyugh come out and eat that after all that Quanta gaining.

It's OP because it can instantly kill any targetable creature. That includes flying titans, armagios, and whatever those gravity dragons are called. Sure, it may be hard to get on the field, but that doesn't mean it should get to kill whatever it can. Make it only able to kill things with less hp and then it's good.

That being said, it would be a pretty easy card to counter... reverse time and poof. Then your opponent has a creature they can't play because, as I understand, the only way to get this on your field is by fusion. A gravity/aether deck would probably be pretty good too... immortal oty's eat the slimes, and immortal chargers deal the damage.

It has a casting cost of nine . So rewinding a Slime Lord will only deal with it temporarily.

Exactly. When you get a Nymph off a Pillar, Reversing it makes a Nymph appear in your hand, not a Pillar.

Also, as he said, the wording implies no limits on what can be targeted and as such this is an reusable instant killer - too strong, easily.
