If your opponent isn't packing momentum of some sort, it's wasted CC.  I'd really rather splash aether for Lobo or try to outdamage/outheal.

If you have momentum in your hand, you don't want to be removing it.

This card is mainly designed to mix with a Gravity Shield, while +0/+1 isn't much it does make a difference.

Also, gravity should be able to grant and remove momentum.

Both have a point but in the long run Petrify from earth rules with  :gravity Shield

Point could be made that this card allows it in mono, except that earth and gravity already have great synergy, and Otyugh can cover the below-5 while Gravity Shield covers the top-5.  If enemy Momentum is a problem, once again there are more versatile ways to deal with it.  As for creatures with exactly 5 health, just pack a critter of your own and eat it... or a Momentum for your little eating machine.
