A potent anti-CC for / ![Aether :aether](https://elementscommunity.org/forum/Smileys/solosmileys/../../../images/Misc/aether18x18.png)
The 'spawn daughter cell' mechanic functions exactly like mitosis would. E.g. a copy of the base card is created as if it were just cast by its owner. Unlike mitosis, however, this card can be target flown weapons. The is absorbed from the owner of the targeted creature.
The number of copies spawned is equal to the amount of absorbed divided by the square root of the creature's cost (or 1, whichever is higher), rounded up.
This effect replaces the creature's active skill, just like liquid shadow, butterfly effect, mitosis, etc. It can be removed by lobotomize or any effect that would replace its active skill.
Spoiler for Example: You have a ![](/images/Cards/EmeraldDragon.png) in play with this cast on it. It dies when you have 12 ![Aether :aether](https://elementscommunity.org/forum/Smileys/solosmileys/../../../images/Misc/aether18x18.png) then 12 / sqrt(10) = 3.794-> 4 So 4 Emerald dragons spawn. In the case of creatures that have base HPs of 0, the creature will remain in play until its next attack or until an effect deals damage to it (just like spark).
In the case of this being cast on a spark that subsequently dies on attack, the spawned sparks would be created after the spark's attack and so would not attack until the following turn.

Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?
If your zombie plan is
