Card of Randomness is like SoSe but not a rare, i guess, thats what the inspiration came from

The second card, per 5 hp you would gain, there is a 50% chance per gain that you would take damage instead on that gain.

Wow these are a tad expensive. Switch it to 5 | 5. 

Also, for upped. Maybe make it heal 2 for each card added.

Since upped Card of Randomness can actually kill yourself when you desperately need the cards, give us several very strong reasons on why one would want to use upped CoR over unupped CoR.

(And no, I won't take "Upped CoR offers upped cards while unupped CoR offers unupped cards" or "chance to heal" as a sufficiently strong reason.)

I think the cost is just fine for unupgraded. It has the potential to give you more than twice as many cards as SoSe, so costing 2x SoSe is reasonable.
The upgraded is a little on the pricey side though. I think it could be dropped to 7 or even stay at 6.
The 5HP per card boost translates into a maximum of 40 HP healed, but that is only in the event that your hand is empty.
Typically I think its reasonable to balance against a gain of roughly 4 to 5 cards (which is how I see fractal's card gain estimated).

This would be okay (maybe a bit UP still) except that you have just as much of a chance of nuking yourself instead... in fact, at 50% chance the effect will have an expected value of 0 HP gain / loss, so it is safe to say that the effect has a card cost value of 0.

In summary. keep the unupped cost where it is or maybe drop it to 5 and make the upped cost match.

I do agree with the other members that this effect is still a little too similar to SoSe.
Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?

Serprex once tried this once in oetg under the form of hand spasm.
It's a card that wasn't necessarily bad, but was really, really boring. Or at least, it and sose made one or the other redundant.

Wait, if 50% of the upped cards are gonna hurt you, then the average net life gain is exactly 0. That's not a buff! It's as likely to hurt you as it is to heal you, yet the card costs 2 more than the unupped version. Hummm... How about 50% to heal you, 50% chance to hurt the enemy?
