so its boneyard on a stick? though i assume the upgraded version doesn´t summon Elite skeletons?
even so, i think this would go well in a duo between  :entropy :fire, Fallen druids, improve ability on these skeletons and bang.
but thats only if you keep the ability costs with  :fire :fire :fire and not  :death :death as suggested earlier, but i reckon  :death :death
would fit conceptually.

Thematic consideration:
Please forgive me but, what about this card other than the author gives it cause to be Fire? I do not know if it is possible to animate the dead by burning them nor do I see a reason why a pyromancer would study necromancy.

Balance Consideration:
CC=Casting Cost, AC=Activation Costs

Option 1
Unupped: CC: 6 :fire, AC: :fire :fire
Upgraded: CC: 7 :fire, AC: :fire :fire
Option 2
Unupped: CC: 5 :fire, AC: :death :death
Upgraded: CC: 6 :fire, AC: :death :death
Option 3
Unupped: CC: 7 :death, AC: :death :death
Upgraded: CC: 8 :death, AC: :death :death

maybe you should make it spawn just one fire creature like upped ash(minor phoenix) or an fire spirt.
or 2 of your own creatures, you could name them: fire zombie , lava skelleton  or burnt corpse.
that way it could make more sense.

How about "Undead Magma"?
sounds odd to me, maybe magma zombi,
or you could call the card fire summoner and make it summon a magma beast or something like that.

The only way to make a fiery undead is through specialized magic.
An Idea for such is Cinder Bones n|0 (when attacks does 1 damage to creature across from it) not sure.
