NAME: Sulfurlous Balloon
ELEMENT: Fire

TYPE: Creature
ATK|HP: 8|1
ABILITY: Upon death deal controller 5
damage and all of controller's
creatures 3 damage.
(Airborne.)
ART:
IDEA: Dramore
NOTES: This little guy should be pretty simple. He's cheap to play does fair damage but he has a hidden(sort of) cost. By that I mean the 5 damage you take when he dies. Also your creatures that are out of element(non-fire) take 3 damage too.
For a Full fire deck this little guy can be a good rusher. Altho I think it would be best in some combo decks.
Any way please review and leave your thoughts on it.

One last note. It flys. Why you ask? Because it's like a hot air balloon full of sulfurlous gas which will flare very hot very fast.

My first impulse would be to Nightmare it with a Fire Shield up. S'interesting.

The ATK|HP on the upped form is different in the table and card, by the way. Also: controller has two l's.
The dogs of war are nothing compared to the cats.

Vanilla Creatures with X|5 stats (X varies between creatures) tend to have a Cost of X quanta when unupped.

So a 3|5 creature would be worth 3 :fire. (although it would not be a Fire creature because Fire has high attack low hp usually)

The backlash effect would need to be balanced with above average stats.
It probably should remain brittle so that the effect occurs more often.

Suggestion (mostly guesswork)
Casting Cost: 4 :fire|3 :fire
Attack: 6|7
HP: 1
Effect: When destroyed deal controller 5 damage and all of controller's creature take 2 damage.

Notes on suggestion:
I increased the cost so it would not compete with Ash Eater
I increase the Attack to be worthy of the drawback
I simplified the drawback and decreased the severity
I do not know if my suggestion is balanced but it appears to be closer to balanced and fit the idea better for ETG.

Thank you Old Trees. All I can say is I'll make some changes as soon as I get another chance to be online. I hoped to keep the quanta  :rainbow based to make it better able to combo . How ever that may not be as good of an idea as I'd thought.

3 :fire would be a better price upgraded because it is samll enough to be able to dip with a mark or a Supernova or Immolation speedbow.
Increasing the attack by 1 and droping the cost from 3 :fire to 3 :rainbow is probably too much.

Maintaining the "non fire" aspect of the card is unnecessarily complex and realistic. ETG is by its nature a relatively abstract game. If Fire creatures can be harmed by Fire shield they should be harmed by the Balloon.
