Don't you guys remember Z's Decaying Dragon? It dies 3 turns after coming into play. Normal creatures often have more time than that to deal damage, so having a spell to then limit the time to three is not that bad. Plus, it can be countered. ( I feel this should be countered by purify also.)

Afla does not kill in the specified amount of turns (tougher creatures). Also, afla produces malignant cells.

For thematic reasons.  If you gave means to easily destroy tougher creatures, there is not point to have tougher creatures as they would be as easy to remove as frailer creatures.  This is an issue apparent with Reverse Time, in some cases.

If you do choose to pursue this idea, I would also consider having Purify as being another counter.

I was referring to poison/infection not alfatoxin. I did not claim poison killed in a specified number of turns. I merely claimed that it was slower than 3|1 turns.

Sidenote: Alfatoxin used to instantly kill the target. That was changed before release.
