Why is this a seperate card and not just an ability on the Fire Archer?

a) the possibility to destroy it. and - like in 300 - an arrow needs some time to hit its target.
b) the possibility to produce more arrows, which makes an air mark just for this usage reasonable
*edit*
c) if you bring an archer early on the battlefield (far behind), it has more use (more arrows), than if he joins battle late.

Just Seems a bit odd to me.

Fletchers Make Arrows, Archers fire them.
Without an archer an Arrow can't be shot.
Regardless of the travel time to target, the archer chooses the target before firing.

Wierdest thing is when the archer comes out turn 1, makes an arrow and is immediately shocked, 5 turns later when Flying dragon comes to the table the dragon is hit with your flaming arrow.

youre right, but i definitly want a system, when you can "prepare" a bit, maybe something like "lasts 3 turns", like phase shields, so you could prepare 3 rounds before? i really like the idea, to have an advantage, when you bring the archer earlier at the battlefield.

and yes, he doesnt produce the arrow, but he shoots it (like rain of arrows with more archers) and it needs some time to reach the target (or hit the target).
