Pitfall trap

Hey all,

The idea was pitfall (unupped  5 upped 4 ) is placed on the first free creature spot on the opponents field.
The creature wich will spawn at that place will be killed immediately if it isn't airborn.

If an airborne creature is summoned where the pitfall trap is, is the trap destroyed or does it sit there until a monster comes and replaces the airborne one (and hopefully sets it off)?
If it sits there, would I be correct in assuming that if Web were used on the airborne occupant, the trap would activate? (thereby making that ability useful in more than one situation?!)
Would Steal have an effect on it?

First the trap will not disappear, if there's a airbore creature sumoned on that place then the trap can  only do it's work by webing the creature as you said.
Second the trap is placed on the opponents side so stealing won't have effect only if you steal it (but then it will summon at you first free creature spot)
