Okay, so how about this: how can the effect be removed from the slot? Target with PC?

A creature does not have on a creature slot to target that slot, but to gain quanta, a creature must be on it. That slot remains fertile if a creature on it dies.

Kill the creature on it, basically.
No way to literally remove it.

The only way to really abuse this card is with the Malignant Cell card bug (you know, those players who were playing Cells directly from their hands)... a bug that should had been fixed years ago. Other than that, it is quite balanced.

Worth mentioning here, but "targets the slot not the creature" does not necessarily and automatically imply that immaterial are affected. For instance, flooding targets the slots (field) that creatures are in, but immaterial creatures are not affected by it.
In other words the one true "field effect" in the game right now does NOT affect immaterial. So if you intend that in the design it is a good idea to at least mention it in the OP.

The kinds of effects that do affect immaterial creatures are "global" effects, such as nightfall, shard of freedom, sundial, etc. and shield card effects.

I'm fairly certain Sky blitz acts as a mass target spell, effectively, so like other mass target spells it would not affect immaterial creatures.
I believe I found that one out a while back, I'm pretty sure it does not...

At any rate, there can certainly be exceptions to the rule, but you need to mention it in the OP is all I'm saying.
