@Off-topic: Yes, why?
@On-topic: Well, it used to be unlimited spawn, but some people didn't like it...
No, I just think that's pretty cool :)

For a second I thought this belonged in the joke card section.... but then I read it.

Like the idea and art anyway. Just wish it had a more epic name.

Any ideas?

Fate Hen
Fate Maker
Fake Mater?

Also, does this card mean you will be introducing a Fate Cock to fertilize the eggs soon?
... I would rather have Fate Chicken,
but there should be better names out there

Well, the creature from the Fate Egg isn't a mutant anyway. It's a random creature.
Yes, and what element is all about random creatures, and randomness in general..? :)

Things is... if this card were made into an entropy card, then fate egg would have to as well. Fate Chicken is not really random, it's the fate egg, which is already implemented as a time card in the game.

That's false logic.

Think of it like this. It's the :entropy that makes Fate Egg special. Once the Chicken has produced the egg, it's already special. Now it only needs :time to hatch.

Chicken + :life = Egg
Egg + :time (to hatch) = baby chicken

Chicken + :entropy = special egg (aka Fate Egg)
Fate Egg + :time (to hatch) = random creature

Fate egg is not special for a fate chicken. It comes naturally :P

I agree. You know its going to be a fate egg, you just dont know whats is the egg. If anything, the egg should be :entropy.

Fate Egg + :life=Fate Egg
Fate Egg+ :time=Random Creature
Fate Egg=Random Creature, because its biological makeup is  :entropy

So really, the fate egg should be entropy, and the ability remain time since the egg hatches a random creature.

Or you could say that the Fate Chickens ability should cost time since it takes time to lay an egg.

In other words. I think its fine how it is.

I think a Golden Goose card would be better... If we stay true to form and use mythical creatures :-p
A golden goose don't lay fate eggs, it lay electrum.

Jokes aside, this is a rather queer idea. I do agree somewhat that to hatch an elite fate egg  :entropy should be required instead of  :life, but the unupped fate chicken ought to stick with  :life to lay eggs.  No idea if it's worth SoR-ing fate chickens for a mono  :time deck though.

A logical choice would be to keep the game consistent.  Remember that other creature that creates "special creatures"?  What does it use?

Looks like :life is the right choice to me.

That's because the creature fallen elf|fallen druid is innately full of entropy zzz. A fate chicken has not enough randomness about it. For a chicken to lay a normal fate egg  :life should suffice, but certainly not an elite fate egg.

How would that make sense? They both create a random creature. The elite fate egg merely creates better creatures if I'm not mistaken.
