Effectively the unupgraded version lets you chuck a replaced weapon at random enemy creatures (or possibly opponent) instead of just having it disappear. The upgraded version deals less total damage but allows you to focus the damage onto a single specific target. Or, in other words, it makes replacing a weapon act like a randomly targeted CC (unupgraded) or a powerful single target CC (upgraded). This counts as a standard attack (doesn't mean much for creatures, but if opponent is targeted, shield effects apply). SERIES: Weapon Brawl

I'm not sure how to word it more simply...

basically, it makes your weapon attack a random enemy (creature or player) when you replace it with a new weapon. Upgrading lets you use each copy of this card 2 times per turn instead of the normal 1 time per turn.

No, it only works when you play a weapon when already have another one in play.
Normally that would just replace the old weapon and the old weapon would be lost... This card lets you get one final swing out of it before it disappears.

I will be adding a time variant of this shortly.

Hmm... you may have a point on that. It could deal some pretty ugly damage as CC though... A long sword would deal more damage than a lightening bolt. There may not be control over what creature gets struck, but that creature probably won't survive.

As for damage type, I was intending for it to be physical damage. I.e. like the weapon literally attacks the randomly chosen target...

Would double damage be better?

Well, with this card you have to build your deck around it. So, these weapons may be your main source of damage, and they deal damage only once, and you can't choose the target. Double of it's attack sounds far better.
Does the damage bonus of Hammer, Short Bow and Dagger count when using the right mark? It should in my opionion.

Hmm... that gives me some ideas.

Do you think it is more powerful to have a replaced weapon attack several random targets for 1x damage or to strike a single chosen target for double damage?

At the risk of slight LSD syndrome it might be neat to have the unupgraded version do one and the upgraded do the other. What do you think?
