Just try to use something not so wildly inaccurate or change the name.
Wildly Inaccurate?
It could be a stick or a rock facing the dawn. The card is Faces East Totem and Dawn Totem, not god of dawn or anything like that. Check out Dusk totem.
Agreed. A stick or a rock could serve as a totem, though not the most imaginative or endearing. You'll also note that I have not posted any criticism of your Faces West/Dusk Totem because the image used comes leaps and bounds closer to approximating an actual totem.
Totema. An animal, plant, or natural object serving among certain tribal or traditional peoples as the emblem of a clan or family and sometimes revered as its founder, ancestor, or guardian.
b. A representation of such an object.
c. A social group having a common affiliation to such an object.
You'll notice that statues of Poseidon with a Trident are not listed, nor do they closely resemble any of the accepted meanings for the term totem. I offered you an alternative image (however heinous) of a goddess to which ancient peoples payed homage for the Dawn/East since, while it would still fail to be an actual totem, would at least be consistent with the card name and included the elements you desired. I was merely providing you the image since it seemed you were not familiar with that part of mythology.
Look, in the end, this is
your card idea. This part of the forum is about cleaning up cards on several levels, be it problems in game play, spelling mistakes, simplifying card descriptions, etc. In this case, it seems you came up with a novel idea, a reasonable card name and found an aesthetically pleasing image and put the 3 together without worrying about the internal dissonance. If you posted a card named Black Adder but depicted a squirrel I would have criticized that card idea as well for the same reason (or would have at least asked you to use a black squirrel.)
