Bad idea. I'll quit the game if this is implemented. Strengthening MONO decks, in my opinion, is more important than strengthening duo decks.
You like getting stomped by mono-fire decks in t50?

Anyway...

The current definition of a 'mono-deck' states that the casting cost of a card must be the same element contiguously. Ergo, changing the ability cost of the Hourglass to Gravity wouldn't make a mono-time deck no longer be mono-time, as the casting cost of all the cards would still be the same. So your logic is flawed.

Who plays mono-decks that aren't fire or dark anyway?

Who said my logic is flawed? My definition of mono deck is that it only uses 1 type of quantum, card, and mark. You could call it "pure mono", instead of the splashed mono most people use.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

Explain why is this Shrieker thing called Earth/Time.

And explain why am I not allowed to play Hourglasses in a Time deck without splashing Gravity.

Agreed. Hourglass is fine as it is - an expensive card that uses up a lot of time quanta but is very valuable to rainbow and mono decks alike. Changing the casting cost to Gravity, in terms of improving the game, does nothing. Sorry Kael, but although your real-life argument might work, this isn't real life. :D

If I post "I LOVE the idea and it needs no modifications whatsoever you stupid idiots"--will that reignite the flame war?

I think there's room for another element's ability to draw more cards.  And while I agree that gravity (not time) pulls sand through an hour glass, the reality (of this fantasy game) is that changing a card crucial to so many decks would not be a big crowd-pleaser, for better or for worse.
Bring back Holy Cow!

Probably. But at the moment any Flaming is about as weak as dueling with Cigarette Lighters.

Aye.
