Existing Card Reworking Contest entry - Golden Hourglass / Electrum Hourglass

I like the idea for this Contest but care not to win it and am having no luck with Photoshop or the Pixlr editor. If you wish to do the image remake and you care for my idea, you may claim it as your entry in the competiton here. First to do the image remake may use the idea with my blessing as per the rule - "you can't copy/use/anything anyone else's idea without permission."

*** Old Version ***
(Time)
Golden Hourglass
Type: Artifact
Cast Cost: 3 :time
Active skill
2 :time : Hasten
Draw a card from your deck

(Time)
Electrum Hourglass
Type: Artifact
Cast Cost: 3 :time
Active skill
1 :time : Hasten
Draw a card from your deck

*** New Version ***
(Time)
Golden Hourglass
Type: Artifact
Cast Cost: 3 :time
Active skill
2 :gravity : Hasten
Draw a card from your deck

(Time)
Electrum Hourglass
Type: Artifact
Cast Cost: 3 :time
Active skill
1 :gravity : Hasten
Draw a card from your deck

*** Reasoning ***
Gravity pulls sands through an Hourglass. This has bothered me since I first saw the card. Also this breaks the specific dependance on just time and allows for the invention of other card drawing mechanisms without competing directly with the hourglass.

Edit: Since No one took up the idea, not actually an entry.

Bad idea.

...well, it was meant to stay Time-based, not some Gravity thrown for no reason.

Also, three entries? I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

Oh yeah, No image, wait that must be illegal. Ah right I haven't submitted any link in the comp yet.

Yeah, a common issue with ccg design is to lock up basic strong effects within a small group. If you played ccg's on any technical level before you'll have noticed that when a singular mechanic is limited to one area and that mechanic is required for an effective edge in gameplay then the other cards/colours and in this case elements will get ignored. Notice how in 90% of the top50 decks time is the chosen mark?

If we break the monodependance on time and allow new cards to be created that have a card draw effect then the Interactivity will be spread around. The only competitor the Hourglass had for carddraw was the Elite Sundial becase it could be dropped into any deck with light access but now it has become obsolete because it can no longer give a card advantage.

Then, add, those, other, card, draw, cards, instead, of, breaking, mono-Time

Bad idea. I'll quit the game if this is implemented. Strengthening MONO decks, in my opinion, is more important than strengthening duo decks.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

Why is it that there are no mono-type decks amongst any of the AI?

I don't think mono-type decks are in anyway key to elements. The presence of so many off element activators and the quantum pillars is proof of that.

Also this is not an attempt to break mono-type decks but to allow the variation and combination of other card drawing effects without being overshadowed by the hourglass.

I repeat my comment. If you want variation, add new cards instead of going breaky on existing.

Also, mono decks exist. Pyrofuze (AI5), Lumiel (AI5) and so on.

Lol, Monodeck generated at random.

I have more ideas for card draw and will present them in due time (Pardon the Pun) but for now this is the idea I put forward as part of the "Existing Card Reworking".

Do you disagree that Gravity moves sand through an Hourglass? If not then there is nothing to change in my submission. If someone does agree with me and makes up the card then don't vote for it.

The sand moves through Time, and Time is used to make the sand go faster, so you get to draw your card earlier.

LOL!

I'll remember to tell the boys on the International space station that their Hourglass doesn't work in space because there is no time up there.

This a magical hourglass, that's why. You could turn it and the sand would still go the right way.
