Existing Card Reworking Entry: Hematite Golem https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=2776.msg23237#msg23237

To clarify, each time the golem loses an HP, it gains +1/+0.  When the golem gains an HP, it gains -1/+0.  When it gains an attack, it loses +0/-1, etc, etc.  Cards that affect both HP and attack by the same amount end up canceling itself out.

Wow...I like it, but I don't like it.  I like the idea that an Eagle's Eye will drive up the offense as it lowers the HP, but I don' t like that a Blessing does nothing at all.  I'm not sure how to address the problem, however, so I'll just say: VERY creative idea.  +Karma for fascinating me. :)

I'm with the Heterodox. It reverses damage and buffs, which could be good and bad at the same time.

However, if you managed to increase toughness above 14, what would happen? Would it anti-matter itself?

That would be an awesome way to deal with it.  HA!  I put Heavy Armor on your Hematite Golem.  PLLBBBBBBT!

Note - To be valid as a competition entry you will have to change the art on Steel Golem to match the card.

You MUST post the LINK to a topic in the CARD IDEAS section which is a card you created: the card's artwork must be the same as the original card's one; if it isn't, the card won't be considered valid.
Don't miss out.

I like the idea that Hematite and Steel are somewhat protected in the idea of their nature but I don't think this is a good way to implement it. Also it becomes mechanically hard to code strings and balances to suit constant shifts between Damage/Life and may fall into the too complex category since nothing mechanically uses that method so far in the game.

What happens under Blessing? Does it get a -3|-3 straight after?
What happens with Rage Potion? Does it trigger another +5|-5 straight after? It is very hard to code a non-reaction in the case of a double-sided reactionary change.

Blessing cancels itself out, simple as that.

Rage potion conserves the sum, as the resulting 8/1 on a Hematite one is still sum 9, same as 3/6.

Okay, just give me a few years so I can learn the coding thing.

Lol, something simpler then, just the functional Architecture. I'm sure Zanzarino would apreciate the supposed simple answer when he comes to code it.

When Blessing used have no effect
When Rage Potion used add 5 AP and deduce 5 HP
When Improved Blessing used have no effect
When Rage Elixir used add 6 AP and deduce 6 HP
When HP 0 or less, remove Golem from field

Aw man, are you going to make me change the artwork for Steel Golem to the PROPER upgraded version?  C'mon, don't be picky...
