The mechanic is too limited to be of any real use, CC resistance is nice and all, but considering that most CC will kill this in one turn anyways, I don't believe it'll be too useful.
For hard CC, I believe that only poison damage and Fire Shield are passive CC that won't kill this thing (although stacking poison counters may or may not kill it).
On a soft CC point of view, I can kind of see this as useful, but really, for negative statuses, there's really only AM, Freeze, delay, and getting lobotomized (I'm assuming that Reset is an active ability), with delay not even being used too often in play (and Turtle Shield's delay being negligible, with only it being beneficial to have Reset once every six turns if I calculated it right).
It's a nice idea, but it's a bit limited. As for being a mid-range attacker, GoTP already covers that, doesn't it?
