I normally spend a lot of time explaining details of card mechanics here… This one doesn't seem to need that so much.

…And the cycle just keeps growing and growing until everything is dead.

Also, I think just 'Escalation' for the upped will do, sounds nicer. To improve escalation, you improve your escalator speed. That's about it.

You got a point. I just like to give upped versions "unique" names, but it doesn't really need it here.

This card just kind of evolved actually. When I first put it together it was totally different. I was really just trying to find a use for the artwork I made for the orb of chaos card I posted yesterday since that card kind of fell flat.

It would essentially be a pass back and forth card because it does not have any set quanta. As long as you have the quanta or running a rainbow this wouldn't bother you in most cases other than being a creature killer. The poison wouldn't often take effect
Devourers may eat one of any quanta and make it Dark quanta but Quantum Pillars make 3 of a random element Quanta every turn. Which is more OP? The argument for Devourers is that Devourers only eat a single one per devourer and the argument for Quantum Pillars is that it is completely random.

that would ruin the purpose of the card imo. it is made to be able to go back and forth and putting it in element stops this from happening. you can always use devs to stop the opponent...

Exactly! Devs and voodoo are part of the reason I made this a darkness card instead of keeping it in entropy (the I first started making it)

You could also put this into a disco-hole deck, or tsunami / EQ deck.

Its also more than just a "pass back and forth" card because it doubles in number everytime it gets passed, so eventually, players will either have to suffer with a diminished hand size, spend lots of quanta to keep up, or suck down some nasty poison.

This card is the first one which has caught my eye as truly original in a while. Very nice idea! I love the "fun" which this card promises in deck building, and the cost is just right to encourage the use of it in the game. Great job!

What if the opponent has less than 2 free spaces in his hand? He gains as many copies as possible? What happens if the opponent owns a Sanctuary? Can you still activate the card?

IDK, man, it's like you're giving ghostmare quanta denial on a silver platter.. Or perhaps you could use this card in a quanta-heavy Firestall to slow your opponent down...

Creatures die, and in exchange the players get healed. In a speed deck like ghostmare this can be counterproductive. Even more since ghosts don't have much defence. That aside, ghostmare is already strained on deck space as it is with all the cards it already wants to use.

Or perhaps you could use this card in a quanta-heavy Firestall to slow your opponent down...

The best use is probably with creature-less decks, since the opponent can choose if he either wants to discard this card at one point or hurt his own creatures and give you the means to do the same.

But I think that there has never been a card in a deck that needed testing as much as this one to determine it's value/if it is UP or OP/if there even is a deck where this card really helps you while hurting your opponent.

Moving on, I can really see this being an annoying card. Its an even easier combo to carry out than Ghostmare with an even worse discard effect. And if you play it then you'd just be giving your opponent more ammo. I dunno.

Also, I'm not sure if this card breaks the fourth wall (which is kind of a big deal). Maybe it does, maybe not. This card has dumbfounded me

Could you explain this? It's not immediately obvious; I don't think it breaks any commonly accepted "fourth wall" in EtG at all.
