IDEA:
Xenocidius
NOTES:
The opponent can still gain quanta at the end of their turn via pillars/quanta-generating creatures. However, instantaneous quanta generation such as Towers, Nova, Immolation, etc., will have no effect.

This is designed to counter powerful cards like Nova whilst synergizing nicely with quanta denial such as Devourers.

It is slower than Nova and Immolation, but it works in an upped environment as a counter to SNova rushes - something I gather is dominating upped play nowadays in the form of TADAbow variants.

I only dislike the fact that it is a weapon. :/

I wanted to make it a permanent akin to Sanctuary, but the only secondary effect I could think of was reducing max HP each turn ... and Shard of Void does that already.

Alternatively, I could make it a creature, but what would it be called?

my initial thought was- does darkness really need another quanta denial card? devourer is solid, and one of the work-arounds to dev is cards generating quanta on use.  feels like an arms race, almost like blocking unblockable cards or targeting untargetable cards, but slightly more subtle.

the idea isnt bad, but another theme to allow the mechanic to fall into a different element would alleviate that, but at that point, would it be too situational of a card?

3 quanta for 6 damage and denial of immolation and nova? Eh, I feel the damage could be lowered a bit or the price increased a bit.
