why hasn't something like this been done yet?

what do you mean by potion, like rage elixer, nymph's tears, liquid shadow, etc or is it a new card series you are making

I assume you mean the alchemy, and if I am correct, this card is slightly OP.  All the alchemy cards are powerful, and things like extra precogs  to  super super unstable gas would make things go nuts.   Increase the cost a little bit.

You aren't sacrificing anything with this card.  You still gain the quanta, and you get a powerful card.  (They are all powerful now that Luceferin does something more than producing light quanta.)

You better look at the mechanics of posting new cards. You have some mistakes.

Anyway, your card is extremely OP. You just sacrifice one pillar to create a powerfull card (and also you get the quanta the same turn or three times as you say in the upped one, what is crazy). And you must explain what happens with "potions" that aren't permanents. Do they appear in your hand?

I recomend you to take a long look at the other players suggested cards to learn more about how to balance and post new cards.

For no quanta at all and one pillar, you're getting an alchemy card and quanta.

Raise the price for sure.

For 1 card and 1 pillar you get 1 user defined card and some quanta. Sounds fairish to me once you remember you could have put alchemy cards in your deck instead. (1 pillar for some quanta and versatility)

I'm with OldTrees.  If anything, this card is slightly UP.  Trading a card for another card is an even exchange; sacrificing a pillar in the process makes it something you have to build your deck around, not something that you do casually. 

That said, I like the idea.
