Slightly modified by Drake_XIV
IDEA:

NOTES:
Now you aren't completely useless against Phase Shields, Fog Shields, or Dusk Mantles.

Damage reductions or stasis do not count as misses.

The extra attack from Steady only happens once.

If multiple misses occur under the influence of Adrenaline, the attack boosts are added with each attack, but the extra attack made due to Steady does not occur.

Interesting. Phase shield beware  ;)

I think this would be a great addition to Life, because it lacks a type of growing creature.

This card has the Dragon stamp of approval on it.

Just on a thematic note, how does this miss against wings? Shouldn't it be ranged as well?

I thought it was only airborne creatures and ranged weapons.

Yes, but a crusader endowed with a bow can get past wings, so shouldn't this be allowed to bypass wings also? (correct me if I'm wrong)

I was thinking that it is because it takes on the Ranged nature of the weapon, if they do have it.

Let's say this: It's hard to hit a flying object.

Forest Spirit
Perpetual growth is not same as pumping up with quanta, so Forest Spirit is another story...
Anyways, nice counter VS hax shields and chained dimshields/wings.

its an OK mechanic, thought I had seen it before as a fire creature though, may be in level two archives or level three.

also this is a ranged creature so wings is irrelevant

edit- yeah,  blazing swordsman in level three uses the 'gain stats when it doesn't deal damage' mechanic

and not to mention youre using copyrighted artwork

Thank you for pointing that out.  I was rushing a bit when I posted this originally.  I will change it accordingly...

still using copyrighted artwork and the mechanic has still been done before

One, explicit permission nulls any copyright issues, no?

Two, this is a bit more specific to missing, as opposed to not dealing damage.  Aside from being :life , I think that constitutes enough of a difference.

1) element will never be a consideration when comparing ideas, it is irrelevant.  the small exception is when it is changing the element of something already in game, but it should have a darn good reason for doing so.
2) so you basically subset the times the skill would activate to phase shield, fog and dusk, this is about as big of a change as "hyperlinks... on a phone!" instead of just "hyperlinks".

This + Adrenaline + Fog Shield = Win

Okay, I'm just going to agree with you for the time being, but, adhering to the use of the incorporation of some effect when it misses, what can I change so that it could be considered different from Blazing Swordsman?

attack a second time after a miss, perhaps, or give it a passive which makes it unable to 'miss'

Like unlobotomizable momentum?

nope, would just be limited to phase shield, fog and dusk.  pretty limited, one of those 'vanilla bean' creatures that are all the rage these days.

Updated.

Will not move to Crucible until artwork is approved or suitable replacement is found.
