NOTES: [/color][/b] Seems like a rather obvious card, but I didn't see it anywhere so I put it up.  Artwork is just a placeholder.  I went with air because it seems like air needs some stuff dealing with permanents, it could be any element, and there is probably a more air appropriate name for the card, like Ethereal Copy or something... thoughts?

What xKelevra said. Why should I take this card, instead of using Steal to simply get the copy of what they're using AS WELL as destroying it on their side of the field? It's also more expensive than the one used in  , unless you're assuming that  quanta is easier to get (which is not, if you think about Devourers...).

you are both forgetting that you can duplicate your own permanents; shards, hourglasses, graveyards, which makes this play differently than steal.   i'll drop the price some, but it is a fairly powerful card...

...oh goodness. O_o Would the duplicate place it on the field or in your hand? (if it was on the field, then shields and weapons would be somewhat useless to duplicate, as they'd simply replace themselves)

Otherwise, the cost reduction was a good move. Much more beneficial than Steal in many cases, now that I realize you can target your own permanents. Sundials could be chained for even LONGER periods of time with this...

ok, added card background and reduced pricing... it would add the card into the playing field, like parallel universe, if weapon or shield is targeted, it replaces current weapon or shield... if bonewall is targeted, it comes into play with _X hits... i duno.  maybe just 1?  not sure if phase shield copied would start fresh or not either...

This + Phase shield would make me cry if it started fresh.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but given the 6-card limit, this gives potentially 36 turns of invincibility. 

Also, this needs to be a Spell, not a Permanent.

You're right about it needing to be a spell, kinda got that mixed up.  I'm saying the card would duplicate that actual condition of the targetted shield, kinda like parallel universe duplicates the condition of the targetted creature, so that chaining phase shields together wouldn't work, but you could copy a sweet bone wall! 

So I think i'm done messing with this, the saved card files are attached previously, I think this card could make it into the game easily, i has what 95% of the other cards here don't, simplicity, which goes a long way it seems.

So yea, anyone feel free to take this and edit it and run with it, make it your own, I declare Duplicate Open Source!

yea, this seems op as air, since you could combo with unstable gas... perhaps it should be a  card?  still cost 5/4... anyone feel like remaking it?

- For this idea to move to the Crucible you will have to redo the Card Image with the element Icon in the cost.
