It is powered from earth because it's main habitat is the desert, and the swirling sands are made of time themselves (sand is often representative of time in many different ways.)
It is powered from time because it is a spirit that exists forever because of Time similar to Ghost of the Past.

Imo this sounds a lot better for your duality series, now that it has and requires a  :time and/or  :earth syncronization for the effect.
cool idea though  :P

Also the art doesn't seem relevant. It has dune in the name - it should be like a Bedouin style humanoid at minimum.

dune soul/spirit seriously need a boost

as unupped its either a more expensive graviton gaurd or a more expensive phase spider(and minus the web ability)

as upped its an unupped cockatrice, IF your mark is time or earth

Bedouins it is.  Also I'm thinking of giving this card a Mark-dependent abilty instead of a stat buff.

Sorry for semi-trolling this topic before but...

This change suddenly made the card more interesting in my opinion:
- Alot of stall-decks are time/earth based, an earth creature producing time quanta contributes to that.
- Slow fits the time theme very well.
- Art is much better now.
- Fits the mid-hitter slow as you said.
