NOTES:

- When you play this spell, you have the option to target a creature or a player. If you target a creature, it deals 4 spell damage to that creature. If you target a player, it summons a 4|1 flame under his control. You may target the opponent.
- If a player has no creature slot available, he is not a valid target.
- A return time played on a Flame will return it to its owner's deck as a creature.
- The spell can't be reflected ‒ that would be a problem if you had a reflective shield equipped.

Living Flame is a spell that can be used either as CC or as a creature, depending on the situation. It's pricey for what it does ‒ 3/2 quanta for 4 damage or a 4|1 is easily outclassed by cheaper/stronger CC (Lightning, Shockwave, etc.) and sturdier creatures (Cockatrice, Minor Phoenix), but the tradeoff is greater flexibility in one card.

In a pinch, it can be used on the opponent to provide an emergency Aflatoxin/Antimatter target.

Interesting... I will start by mimicing the popular sentiment: fire doesn't really need much more direct CC...
That being said, I do like the 2 in 1 versatility here, yet the effect stays fairly simple and straight forward, so I support this card in spite of that fact.

Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?
If your zombie plan is
kill -9 `ps l | awk '{print $2" "$3" "$9}' | grep "Z" | awk '{printf("%s ",$2)}'`
You might be a unix junky
