The Wildfire picture is kind of eerie looking, I like it.

If immaterial ever changes you might need to include a cost for the card but it looks pretty good at the moment.

I like the idea thematically. Dead Wood is pretty darn useless without a fire or aether spell though. I guess you just save it until you have the right spell in hand.

I think Dead Wood is kind of weird as a creature though I understand why it is. I wish the art for dead wood was a little more creature like...

I understand why dead wood has to be a creature--yes it's kinda weird but if it were a permanent, how would you ignite it? I think both cards should reflect more physically though. Some suggestions:

Dead wood cannot be lighted if it is underwater
Wildfire does not affect creatures underwater
Wildfire is extinguished if it is underwater
(future) Airborne creatures have an 80% chance to escape damage from wildfires
(maybe) Increase wildfire's damage but limit it's AoE

(EDIT: By underwater I mean within flooding's AoE)

If there ever is a chain lightning or fire mortar implemented, a fractal dead wood deck would be really cool though. Kinda like how this idea introduces another non-standalone card, like aflatoxin does with malignant cell.

Hehe.  I was thinking Pandemonium.   :D

I kind of gave up looking for the absolute right art to put into these.  I figure if any of my ideas did get in an artist would step up to make the perfect picture.  You should click on the source art and view full resolution.  It's a pretty cool pic.

I like this card, just have a quick question. If the other player has Fire Buckler, does it count as fire damage and does it turn into Wildfire or does it die?

Well.  Those are all things that can go into the "what the cards don't tell you" thread.   :P

Then what happens if a Dead Wood has Gravity Pull on it and a Ball Lightning is the first to hit it?  ;)
