Yes, that's a black square in the card. It was the first symbolic image I could think of. When it gets to the crucible, I'll try to get a better image.

I think this is underpowered, because even if it's a spell, it works for only one creature/permanent for one turn.  Cloak on the other hand, costs the same but protects your whole field for three turns at the risk of PC.  I think Cloak is better.

Far too UP. The cost alone could easily be 2 :darkness | 1 :darkness, since it could be compared to RoL or a weak freeze that doesn't stop attacks.
Perception is the source of misunderstanding.

UP. Compare this to quint for protection, quint lasts forever and costs the same. Compare this to cloak, lasts longer and costs the same. Only real purpose this has it to stop your opponent from using a certain creature skill or weapon skill. Still, the cost should be changed to 2|1 :darkness.

Why have it limited to only one turn?  Why not make it lasts 3 turns?

Denying a weapon or creature skill for three turns for only 2|1 :darkness is way too powerful.
