I imagine I'm goign to see the "How is this better than Mindgate?" arguement, so I'll explain it. Mindgate is useless on cards in hand before it is played. This can be used with your own spells, Double Spell => Spell of choice => Copied Spell of choice. Cheaper obviously. SERIES:

Double Spell sounds a bit weird on the tongue, maybe Copy, Curse, or Incantation? Sorry, for some reason I just find Double Spell awkward. As for the mechanics, it fits perfectly with Aether and it's copying streak, and the cost being low is expected. You would still have to pay the cost for the spell, although would be awkward with Miracle or TU.

too similar to mindgate, and changing the element isnt much of an option.
I would suggest a totally different effect which may already be in the forge or armory:

meanwhile this is on the field, when you cast a spell, 50% chance it gets cast twice.
it fits the name a bit better too.


but being playable for all elements is basically a mind gate for spells in all elements

but being playable for all elements is basically a mind gate for spells in all elements. weaker mind gate for all.

Simply making it one use and casting the next spell twice.
But I ended up liking this more and the notes explain the advantages over mindgate.

But remember, it clones ANY spell, so you could potentially have 12 Flying Weapons, regardless of what your opponent has in their deck. That means you can clone your own spells, and it's not reliant on what your opponent has completely.

But mindgate isnt exactly a choice, neither do you have a choice when copying the next spell unless its from your hand. this basically gives you a chance to cast the same spell another 6 times. imo its too cheap, WAY too cheap.

It should be cheap-ish, maybe raise it to 2 or 3, but no more. Remember, you still have to pay the cost of the spell again. It would be OP with Fire Lance Stall though...

does wasting one random quanta necessarily have such a huge affect on your production? i dont think so.
