The antithesis to Miracle... as Curse is useless after Miracle has been played, and Miracle won't help you if your opponent used Curse...

EDIT : Upped version's cost decreased to 12.

i don't get why the upped version increases the HP by one. is it to 'balance' the much lower cost? i don't seem to understand the logic.

It is to prevent Elemental Mastery for the opponent. It can be used as a "last spell before dying", which "steals" the EM to the opponent... if he don't have a direct healing card.
