Hindrance, an antimomentum https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=3032.msg25723#msg25723

Back again, I've got alot of idea's flowing, so bare with me.

I was thinking about Momentum. Yes, gravity does have the ability to give someone momentum, hurling them forward past all barriers, but it can be used as a defense as well, bog down the creature in a well of gravity, tire them out and weaken their attacks.

Thus, HINDRANCE!

for 2  :gravity, same price as momentum, you cancel momentum effects on a creature, and they gain -3/-1

The number's might need a bit of tweaking, but it was hard to balance hindrance with Momentum's ability to overcome shields.

The upgraded would cost only 1  :gravity

Again with the picture problem, I need an artist.

Do the target creature gain -3/-1 if the target isn't buffed with momentum?

I think the card is okay, could be used to lower the defense of some creature so a Otyugh could eat them, kill a 1 defense creature or make a opposing creature heal you little each turn.

Yes, it would work on any card, I just had to through that in because a hindered creature shouldn't /also/ be under the effects of momentum.

That being said, Momentum should probably negate Hindrance as well.

So hindrance is going to be a effect that can be removed by for example Lobotomizer / Electrocutor? or replaced with another ability?

I had thought lobotomize erased any ability

I suppose if that's how the coding works, then it would be removed or replaced, I'd assume it would code much like momentum. I hadn't thought of it being replaced or removed.

I think an effect like this would be a stat change, like Rage Potion or Blessing, that would also have the lobotomize effect on momentum if the target had it. No reason for it to be a status, it doesn't really change anything except stats.
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.
