Yep obviously. But most decks use a shield - so it wouldn't be that extremely overpowered.
Adrenaline
Momentum (new)
Unstoppable (new)
With either, Cockatrice
or Graviton Mercenary
.
It is an expensive combination. Costing 4 Gravity and 3 Life + 2 to 4 extra quanta depending on your creature - it is as though you played a dragon. It is still more damage effective to play a dragon in the long run. As soon as your opponent puts up a shield, your creature stops gaining the +1/+1. A Bonewall/Phase/Dimensional Shield all completely stop the incoming damage, a Gravity Shield will most likely block the attack also.
Not as overpowered as you might think...
Take these examples.
I play a Crimson Dragon - Quanta Cost: 10
It is in play for 3 turns before my opponent kills it.
Damage done: 12*3 = 36.
Average damage per turn = 12
I play a Cockatrice, with momentum and unstoppable - Quanta Cost: 4
& 3
It is in play for 3 turns before my opponent kills it.
Damage done: (4) + (4+1) + (5+1) = 15.
Average damage per turn = 5
Again, Cockatrice with momentum, unstoppable AND adrenaline - Quanta Cost: 4
& 7
It is in play for 3 turns before my opponent kills it.
Damage Done: (4+3+2) + (7+5+3) + (10+4) = 38
Average Damage per turn = 12.6
So, for 11 Quanta, you get a slightly more improved attacker (12.6 damage per turn); compared to a Crimson Dragon which costs 10 Quanta and does 12 damage per turn.
