6|6 should cost 7 :aether (6 :aether post Damselfly)
7|7 upgraded [6|6 Affinity] should cost 6-7 :aether (5-6 :aether post Damselfly)
However I must warn you that early in the game's history, phase dragon got immateriality as a nerf to Parallel universe.
Sorry, I don't understand OT, why damselfly?
Damselfly recently got a buff that might justify a -1 general cost reduction added to my theory.
I still don't understand what Damselfly has to do with the lesser cost of Lupine compared to Phase recluse.
Old Formula: Flesh Recluse   6 (attack) +0 (0<HP<6) +1 (Web) -1 (Duo) -2 (upgrade) = 4 :aether
Adjusted Formula: Flesh Recluse   6 (attack) +0 (0<HP<6) +1 (Web) -1 (Duo) -2 (upgrade) -1 (constant) = 3 :aether
Adjusted Formula: Azure Lupine   7 (attack) +1 (5<HP<8 ) -2 (upgrade) -1 (constant) = 5 :aether
PS: Flesh Recluse costs 3 :aether in game.

but, I'm comparing to a creature within its own element, phase recluse, not flesh recluse,
btw, what do you mean by constant? constant ability, as in re-usable/constantly available?
(I assume it does, so here is the formula adjusted to Phase Recluse (I hope I have used it correctly ^^; ) :

 Formula: Phase Recluse   7 (attack) +0 (0<HP<7) +1 (Web) -1 (Duo) -1 (upgrade) -1 (constant) = 4 :aether

opps. I meant to copy paste Phase Recluse.
The constant is probably the cost of drawing the card. It is a constant -1cost that I have begun to apply ever since sufficient creatures (like Flesh Recluse and Damselfly) were 1quanta below the original formula.

so its basically because Damselfly costs no quanta and actually gives you 1 :air quanta to play, since such creatures were given such buffs, causing such a creature to exist, you had to adjust your formula and thus what you were talking about earlier, i see now, sorry for my pigheadedness ^^;
