It absorbs 1 quantum from the opponent's mark per 3 damages dealt from physical sources. For example, it will absorb 1 quantum against a creature with 1-3 attack(s), 2 quanta with 4-6, etc... Depletion Field: Works in the same way as the Dissipation Field except that it absorbs quanta from the opponent and does not reduce damage. It absorbs 1 quantum from the opponent per damage dealt from physical sources. For example, it will absorb 1 random quantum against a creature with 1 attack, 2 quanta with 2, etc... SERIES: -

Only mildly. Have you considered a limit?
I mean, against decks with a lot of creatures, it could be a quanta refusal, but only just.

That would make it kind of similar to the Void shield (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,21562.0.html) that was already made. IMHO, it should be kept in a normal element.


Might also work in  . seeing as how Gravity has Black Hole and this shield is a technical opposite of Dissipation Field.

a) increase the damage per absorbtion
or b) make it self destruct if there are no quanta to drain.

Be careful, with this shield, no damage at all is absorbed. It is a purely denial defence. If the opponent plays a shrieker for example, when the shrieker hits he looses 3 quanta of his mark but you still loose 8 HP!

Either

I agree that the upped version seem to absorb to much. I have two ideas to change it:

Non-Up: "absorbs 1 random quantum from the opponent per 3 damages dealt from physical sources."
Up: "absorbs 1 quantum from the opponent's mark per 3 damages dealt from physical sources."

or

Non-Up: "absorbs 1 quantum from the opponent's mark per 3 damages dealt from physical sources."
Up: "absorbs 1 quantum from the opponent's mark per 2 damages dealt from physical sources."

What do you guys think?

How is it an upgrade? Random to mark, I mean. I have a mitosis deck that is mainly life, but my mark of water only serves to fuel a couple forest spirits and a blue crawler that I threw in there. Not very well going to stop me, now is it?

You have it backwards - unupped is based off mark, while upped is random.
