NOTES:

Example scenario:
You play this card and draw a cloak and a ghost of the past.
Those 2 cards then show as targettable.
You then do 1 of 3 things:
1) Click the cloak -> The cloak is placed in your opponent's hand and 2 HPs are drained from the opponent's health.
2) Click the GoTP -> The GoTP is placed in opponent's hand, 2 HPs are drained from their health and you get a copy of this card where the GoTP was.
3) Click cancel -> You keep both cards but no HPs get drained.

If the opponent has no space left in their hand, you will not be given the option to give one of the cards you drew to them.

You can keep playing this card repeatedly until your opponent's hand is full as long as you continue to draw at least one creature and give it to your opponent.

Upped name needs changing in the topic title and I believe the card text should read "... give one of them..."

This is basically the weird off-spring of precog and nightmare, isn't it? I'm not sure it fits as a "Lance" as it doesn't work like the others (Fire Bolt/Lance, Ice Bolt/Lance, Drain/Siphon Life) but that can be debated.

Looking at it, I don't know if I'd ever opt for this over nightmare in my deck. Nightmare is cheaper, and does a better job, at the cost of not drawing cards. But then you are losing your cards to play this so I'd still rather just use nightmare...

Good catch on the wording issues. They have been fixed.

I can rename the upped version maybe call it "Dream Shiv | Nightmare Spike" ... basically I want something that implies is stabbing your opponent in the mind through their dreams ;)

I suppose it is a little weak compared to nightmare. I was thinking the potential for heavy draw power would offset it.

What do you think of this earlier concept:
"Draw 2 cards. You may then give a card to your opponent to drain HP equal to its cost + 2 and retain this card."

E.g. with that version, if you give a GoTP then this card would then drain 8 HP.

I think the draining amount should be increased. Maybe by a fixed amount (e.g. 4 HP per card) or by your suggestion. But yours might be too powerful, it's harder for them to play it and they lose more HP.

Hmm... so being able to give any card and having drain based on the card's cost makes it too powerful.

How about:
"Draw 2 cards. You may then give one to your opponent to retain this card and drain one HP per creature in their hand."

Then I can keep with the "lance" theme in a strange sort of way and make this card into a one-2 punch with nightmare rather than a replacement for it.

This idea is original.

The fact that I draw two cards makes me think of shard of bravery.
However, you have given the condition that when I draw the card,
if I don't like it, I can give it to the opponent. So you have outranked
a shard. Don't believe me? This is not a rare. This has a better effect.
This can run on two elements making it optimized by a secondary
power. And to make it worse, you can damage the enemy with this,
something shard of bravery never did. I believe it probably should
be nerfed to give shard of bravery a purpose in its life. You wouldn't
throw a perfectly good red crystal out on the street like that would
you? It is like taking away a donut's ability to have a hole. It is insanity.

I can bump cost 1 :underworld for both and that should make SoBr a better bet for single use drawpower, whereas this card would be useful for sustained draw power, but would be less efficient.

But If I don't like the card, I can give it to opponent. That outshines Shard of Bravery. But since shards ruin almost every card that elements community makes, Im going to comment disregarding every shard in the game! This card is great! It is much like a golden hourglass and precognition combined with a choice to give disliked cards to the other player. I see this somewhere in ghostmare working out. Pheonix rushes too! Wait a minute...nope just regular ghostmare, rainbow, and dark/time decks! I see this would greatly harm duo/mono decks however if you were to give a card to the other player. However, I believe retaining the card would cause a bit of a problem. You see, all I need to do is fractal a dragon and then just play this card and keep using it. Sounds like quite possibly the worst and most weak combo ever for a very little health bonus but, it would be annoying to see that happen now wouldn't it? Here are the drawbacks however:
- I can draw two cards that can mess my hand up completely
- This doesn't make precognition look so useful anymore
- Golden Hourglass is slightly downgraded with this around
Other than that, this is a great card!
