Yes, those skeletons are a problem,
The damage is high for it's cost and they have a lot of health

This one can be used in a mono aether
FFQ can't be used in mono air
and combined with graveyard this or boneyard maybe, it's more powerful

But I don't know, you have a point

Let's give the balance issues to someone else :p

provided you have the quantums for it and nothing happens like an oty

maybe if you cut the health in half for these and generated 1 spark (or what if the rng was in it? maybe it could generate 0-3 sparks?) because you want it to be counterable especially since you could quintessence this, or combine it with a angel

I really don't see how this is all that overpowered. I mean, it's basically 6 damage a turn for 4 :aether initial cost, 1 :aether every turn. That's really pretty decent.

The upgraded version is a bit eviler, but still not overpowered.

I say that it's fine. The "overpowered with Death cards" argument is certainly true I guess, but I still like it. Perhaps a way to solve this is to make the ability cost an element outside of Aether or Death, like Darkness.

I'm at work, so I cannot see the images of the card due to webblocker, but it does sound interesting. I like the name of the card, for sure. How about, "Particle Fissure"? I can think of so many particle combo's off of the top of my head, particles are awesome! :D

On second thought. Make it a permanent, thus somewhat nulling the op due to destroy, steal, and pulverizer, and call it a "clockwork particle coil" and have it damage you instead of itself.  This will weaken the card itself, but not take away or weaken its ability.
