I dont know coding too well at all, But could you not, say, have the corrupted pillar, when played, go to the regular stack and just hover there? Instead of it actually being apart of the stack, it just happens to be in the same area.

Wouldn't it cover the stack if so?

The simpliest way would be just make the card create one normal pillar/tower and summon the invisible, corrupted one, then, when the corrupted on is destroyed, destroy one of your pillars at random as well.

...of course, there is the matter of showing the enemy what card is played.

I guess, or just take it a step further and it summons to the permanent area invisible period. Since the only way to counter this card is to not play any cards during your turn, it doesn't really matter if your opponent can see it or not.
