With the vampire ability it is way to easy to make up for the sacrifice. I'd say it's not such a good idea.

Still, it's sort of a weaker Immolation, and the sacrifice needed is more suited to Darkness, as it drains life force from the ones using its power.

With this card the hp can be returned the same turn, even in a mono. With immolation the creature is gone permanently, reducing your amount of cards by 2. This card is clearly more powerful.

Change it to gain N poison and M . (keep both values low but significant due to purify)
Maybe 5 poison and 9|10 ?

if you get quantum for poison, this should be a death card. hands down

Dark should get quanta from trading something precious (like life or health).
Death should gain quanta from deaths.

My point. Soul Catcher is a death like quanta generator, self poison is more Dark than death. (see Liquid Shadow)
